The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in connection with Civil Lines P.S. Case No. 152 of 2018 dated 04.05.2018 instituted for the offence under Section 384 of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner is a traffic constable who is alleged to have demanded Rs. 1000/- from a tempo driver for dispensing with the requirement of fitness certificate. The FIR itself indicates that when the tempo driver offered him lesser amount, the petitioner returned the amount.

Considering the nature of accusation in the FIR, the petitioner above named is directed to be released on bail, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.57727 of 2018(2) dt.11-12-2018 2/2 court below within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Gaya in connection with Civil Lines P.S. Case No. 152 of 2018, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.
