The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "That this Writ Petition is being filed on behalf of the petitioner for issuance of an appropriate order/ orders/ direction/ directions/ writ in the nature of mandamus directing and commanding to the Respondents to compute and pay the arrears of salary after granting the benefits under the ACP/MACP schemes and also to pay arrears of revised pay scale with compound interest to the petitioner."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the respondent-State has submitted by referring to the counter affidavit, filed in the present case that the benefits of ACP and MACP have already been granted to the petitioner and calculation of arrears have been made, whereafter sanction order has also been issued by the Executive Engineer, West Koshi Canal Division, Darbhanga, vide letter dated 31.03.2021, for payment of the arrears of salary. It is, thus, submitted that payment must have already been made, however, in case the same has not been paid, the same will definitely be made, within a period of four weeks from today. It is directed, accordingly.

The writ petition stands disposed off.
