In this case, the petitioner is seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Murliganj P.S. Case No. 467 of 2018, registered for the offence under Section 414 of the Indian Penal Code.

Two persons were talking on the bridge after parking a motor-cycle. On seeking the Police Jeep, both persons started fleeing away, but one person was apprehended, who disclosed that he has purchased the motor-cycle from the petitioner on payment of Rs.3,000/-. It has further been alleged that the persons who has fled away is the present petitioner, who used to sell the stolen motor-cycles.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.29622 of 2019(2) dt.06-05-2019 2/2 Looking to the nature of allegation, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. However, if the petitioner surrenders before the Court below within three weeks from today and prays for regular bail, the Court below will consider the same and pass appropriate order without being influenced by the order of this Court.
