2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that against the punishment order dated 12.02.2013, there is statutory and efficacious remedy of appeal. As such, the present writ petition is not maintainable in that view of the matter.

3. Considering the submission made on behalf of the State, as well as, specific statement made in Para-15 of the counter affidavit and in view of the alternative remedy of
