The present petition has been filed for quashing of the First Information Report of Katihar P.S. Case No. 506 of 2014, dated 16.08.2014, which has been registered for the offences

under Sections 384, 406, 420, 467, 468, 471 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

A report was called for about the stage of the case from the Court below vide order dated 21.03.2018.

The report, which was sent on 27.03.2018, indicates that the investigation was still pending. More than two years have passed by after the report. The investigation, in all its probability, would have been concluded by now. If the investigation has not been concluded, this Court directs that the same may be concluded within a period of three months, to be counted from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, without fail.

With the aforesaid observation/direction, the petition stands disposed off.
