This application is filed for grant of regular bail in connection with S.T. Excise Case No. 943 of 2022 (arising out of Triveniganj P.S. Case No. 518 of 2022) registered under sections 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act, 2018 & 2022.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is recovery of 289.92 litres of foreign liquor. The petitioner is in custody since 25.03.2023.

Learned A.P.P. has vehemently opposed the prayer for

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.32463 of 2023(2) dt.22-05-2023 2/2 bail.

Considering the period of custody and the nature of allegations levelled against the petitioner, this application for regular bail is allowed.

Let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned ADJ IV, Supaul in connection with S.T. Excise Case No. 943 of 2022 (arising out of Triveniganj P.S. Case No. 518 of 2022). The petitioner will visit Triveniganj Police Station on the first Sunday of each month. Any default in appearance at the Police Station would result in cancellation of bail bond of the petitioner.
