The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Goraul P.S. Case No. 481 of 2019, dated 23.12.2019, instituted for the offence under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act, 2018.

Approximately 3439.80 ml. of liquor is said to have been recovered from a truck parked on the National Highway. The petitioner was identified by a local Chowkidar while he was running away from the aforesaid consignment

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he has wrongly been identified and only because he was earlier made accused in case of this kind, this time also he has been named and made accused in this case.

The petitioner is in custody since 10.05.2020. Regard being had to the period of custody of the petitioner, he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Addl. Sessions Judge-II-CumExcise Court, Vaishali at Hajipur in connection with Goraul P.S. Case No. 481 of 2019.

The application stands allowed.
