The present writ application has been filed in the year, 2019 for issuance of a direction to the respondents for grant of Credit Cards to the petitioners under Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme for undergoing B.Tech. Course in Computer Science and Engineering at B.P.S. Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Khanpur Kalan Gohana, District- Sonipat, Haryana.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that for enhancement of Gross Enrollment Ratio in higher education, the State of Bihar has launched Bihar Student

Patna High Court CWJC No.10922 of 2019(5) dt.09-10-2023 2/3 Credit Card Scheme (Amended) to extend financial support to poor students of Bihar for their higher studies. Learned counsel for the petitioners has further submitted that the eligibility criteria for grant of credit card are mentioned in the Scheme, which is annexed as Annexure 3 to the writ application. He next submits that the petitioners have applied for Student Credit Card, which have been refused by the respondent- authorities on the ground that the petitioners do not fulfill the eligibility criteria for grant of Credit Card as petitioner no. 1 has done Polytechnic from the State of Uttar Pradesh and petitioner no. 2 has done Polytechnic from the State of Haryana.

Learned counsel for the respondent- State, by referring to the counter affidavit, submits that it is not disputed that both the petitioners have completed their B.Tech. Courses of 04 years. It is also not disputed that the Student Credit Card is issued for the purposes of payment of fees during the period of on-going course. Since the petitioners have completed their 04 years course of B.Tech. from the respondent- College, nothing remains for adjudication in this case.

Having heard the learned counsel for the parties

Patna High Court CWJC No.10922 of 2019(5) dt.09-10-2023 3/3 and after going through the materials available on record, this Court finds that no lis survives for consideration in the present case, accordingly, the present writ application stands dismissed.
