KUMAR) Date : 01-12-2020 On the basis of news item published on 11.04.2016 in Dainik Bhaskar to the effect that Civil Court, Patna, is not being maintained properly and it requires renovation and same was treated as Public Interest Litigation giving rise to CWJC No. 6761 of 2016. From perusal of the counter affidavit, it appears

Patna High Court CWJC No.6761 of 2016 dt.01-12-2020 2/3 that repairing work of the building along with electricity, sanitary such as bathrooms, urinal and drainage system is stated to be done on regular basis. Repairing of toilet and bathroom is being done by Building Construction Department, Patna Division but day to day maintenance is being done by Civil Court administration.

District & Sessions Judge, Patna, is the Chairman of priority Committee to decide on the priority of repair and maintenance of judicial building. All existing toilets are in good condition.

Pursuant to direction issued by this Court in respect of difficulty faced by State Transport Appellate Tribunal, Patna, in its present office, due to water logging, same has been shifted to new Punai Chak, Patna, at a safer place and State Transport Appellate Tribunal, Patna, has started functioning in its new premises without any difficulty.

For the reasons as stated above, no purpose would be served by continuing the present proceeding any further, as such same is disposed of.
