Petitioners seek bail in C-1 Case No.150 of 2020 registered under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.
The Excise Officers intercepted a vehicle bearing Registration No.BR32GE-1675 and seized 712 litres of liquor from the vehicle.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that for recovery of 712 litres of liquor, the petitioners are in jail since 11.08.2020. The petitioners have already remained in jail for more than five months.
Taking into consideration the facts aforesaid, the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.31071 of 2020(2) dt.25-01-2021 2/2 petitioners named above are directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/-(rupees ten thousand) each with two sureties of like amount each to the satisfaction of learned 2nd Additional Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge (Excise), Purnea in connection with C-1 Case No.150 of 2020.
