The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in connection with Special Case No. 30 of 2020 arising out of Town P.S. Case No. 442 of 2020 instituted for the offences under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. Having considered the allegation against the petitioner and statement under Section 161 of the Criminal Procedure Code in the case diary which reflects that the petitioner has taken money from some persons and it has been recorded in the video clip.

Taking into consideration the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to grant benefit of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

This application is dismissed.
