The present application involves the issue of payment of salary for the period the petitioners have actually worked. The petitioners claim that they have been appointed as teachers in Kaushalya Sanskrit High School, Mahua, Vaishali. Learned counsel for the Sanskrit Shiksha Board would submit that there is dispute as to the Principal in the

Patna High Court CWJC No.7919 of 2016(4) dt.05-08-2019 2/2 school in question and for this reason the petitioners have not been paid salary.

Without entering in to the controversy who is validly appointed Principal of the school in question, the writ petition is disposed of with direction to the District Education Officer, Vaishali to enquire into the matter on the claim of the petitioners and on verification of record, if it transpires that the appoinment of the petitioners has been approved by the Sanskrit Shiksha Board, he shall take steps for payment of salary for the period the petitioners have actually worked.

Necessary decision in this regard must be taken by the District Education Officer, Vaishali at the earliest, preferably within a period of three months with all consequential benefits. With the aforesaid, the writ application stands disposed of.
