2. With the consent of both the parties, this writ application is being disposed of at this stage itself.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that for the reliefs claimed for in the present writ application, the petitioners have already filed a representation dated 06.02.2025

Patna High Court CWJC No. 8228 of 2025(2) dt.10-07-2025 2/3 before the District Magistrate, East Champaran, Motihari vide Annexure-P/3, which is still pending. Learned counsel for the petitioners further submits that he would be satisfied if an appropriate direction is issued by this Court to the District Magistrate, East Champaran, Motihari to dispose of the representation of the petitioners on merit after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners, within a fixed time frame by passing a reasoned and speaking order.

4. The aforesaid prayer being made by learned counsel for the petitioner is not opposed by the learned counsel appearing for the respondent-State.

5. Considering the limited nature of prayer being made by learned counsel for the petitioners, this writ application is disposed of directing the District Magistrate, East Champaran, Motihari to dispose of the representation filed by the petitioners dated 06.02.2025 vide Annexure-P/3 on merit after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners, by passing a reasoned and speaking order. The petitioners will also be at liberty to file a supplementary representation in support of the earlier representation dated 06.02.2025 before the District Magistrate, East Champaran, Motihari. This supplementary representation must be filed within two weeks from the date of this order. After

Patna High Court CWJC No. 8228 of 2025(2) dt.10-07-2025 3/3 the supplementary representation has been filed, the District Magistrate, East Champaran, Motihari will conclude the entire proceeding within a further period of two months by passing a reasoned and speaking order.

6. With the aforesaid observation/direction, this writ application is disposed of. All pending interlocutory application(s), if any, shall also be deemed to have been disposed of.
