JUSTICE RAJEEV RANJAN PRASAD ORAL ORDER 08-08-2018 This writ application has been preferred seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to provide appropriate protection to the petitioner from the private respondent nos.7 to 9 and for safety and security of the life and property of the petitioner. The petitioner is seeking a direction to the respondents to provide him protection also in the matter of construction of boundary wall and house on the land baring Survey Plot No.798, 771, Khata No.304 and 305 and Thana No.34 area measuring 86 decimals.

No one appears on behalf of the petitioner to press this writ application. This Court has published a general notice at the top of the cause list requesting the learned counsel for the petitioner and the State to come prepared with the information as to the present position of the investigation and the proceedings before the Court below.

In the nature of the grievance of the petitioner, since no one is appearing to represent the matter when the matter is called out, this Court has reasons to believe that the petitioner is not interested in pursing the matter. This writ application is, therefore, dismissed as not pressed.
