ANJANA MISHRA ORAL ORDER 02-03-2015 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the State.

The petitioner, who happens to be the husband, is in custody since 24.3.2014 in connection with Atari P.S. Case No.07 of 2013 registered for the offences under Sections 304B, and other sections of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the court of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Gaya. The allegation against the petitioner is that he had been torturing the victim lady since the time of marriage in the year 2006. Further allegation is that after the death, the dead body of the victim lady was surreptitiously cremated and thrown into the river.

Considering the materials on the record and in the case

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.28718 of 2014 (6) dt.02-03-2015 2/2 diary, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. It is, accordingly, rejected.

The trial in the present case may, however, be expedited and concluded, preferably within a period of one year from the date of communication of a copy of this order. (Anjana Mishra, J) PNM U T
