This application has been filed for modification of the order dated 24.08.2020 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 20260 of 2020 by which the period of surrender has been extended by further 30 days from the date of receipt/production of copy of the order.

This Court has taken serious note of the fact that this is the second round the petitioner has prayed for extension of period of surrender whereas on the earlier occasion period of surrender had been extended by 30 days vide order dated 24.08.2020 but the petitioner chosen not to

This conduct of the petitioner appears to be deliberate and intentional and the lackadaisical approach adopted by the petitioner in not complying the order of this Court cannot be tolerable in any manner.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has confined his prayer to the extent that the period of surrender granted vide order dated 24.08.2020 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 20260 of 2020 may be extended by further two weeks.

In view of the submission and by way of last indulgence, let the period of surrender be extended by further two weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. The order dated 24.08.2020 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 20260 of 2020 stands modified to the aforesaid extent only.

Accordingly, this modification application stands disposed of.
