The petitioner is in custody in connection with Banka (Mahila) P.S. Case No. 75 of 2018 for the offences under Sections 498(A) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3⁄4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

Allegation against this petitioner is that he along with his family members were involved in torturing the informant and demanding Rs.2,00,000/- cash as dowry.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent and he is in custody since 24.01.2019. He further submits that the marriage between petitioner and informant took place six months prior before

Considering the statement made in paragraph-12 of this application that petitioner wants to keep his wife with full dignity and honour, the Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Let the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned S.D.J.M., Banka, in connection with Banka (Mahila) P.S. Case No. 75 of 2018.

After release of the petitioner, the court below is directed to refer the dispute of husband and wife before the District Mediation Center for amicable settlement of the dispute. (Anil Kumar Upadhyay, J) sunil/- U T
