The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Muffasil PS case no. 257 of 2020 instituted for the offences punishable under Sections 302, 201/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The allegation is regarding the petitioner having killed his wife and thrown her dead body in the river Ganges.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent, has been falsely implicated in the present case, he is having a clean antecedent is languishing in custody since 22.05.2022. The learned counsel

Per contra, the learned APP for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties and taking into account the materials available on record as also having perused the impugned order dated 08.04.2022, this Court finds that the complicity of the petitioner in the alleged killing of his wife is writ large from the records, hence, I do not find any merit in the present petition, thus, the same stands dismissed.
