The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in a case registered under Sections 498A/323/379/420/34 of the Indian Penal Code and 3⁄4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

Allegation against the petitioner is of committing torture and harassment upon the informant due to nonfulfillment of demand of dowry. Petitioner is father-in-law of the informant. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in the case. It is further submitted that specific allegation of

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.32687 of 2022(2) dt.11-10-2022 2/2 committing torture upon the informant is against her husband who has already been granted anticipatory bail by this court vide order passed in Cr. Misc. No. 18404/ 2022.

Learned counsel appearing for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.

Considering the facts of the case and nature of accusation against the petitioner, let the petitioner, above named, in the event of his arrest/ surrender within a period of six weeks from today shall be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sitamarhi in connection with Runnisaidpur PS case No. 615/ 2021, subject to conditions laid down u/s 438(2) of the Cr. P. C. (Prabhat Kumar Singh, J) BKS/- U T
