2. The allegation against the petitioner is of indulged in trafficking of illicit liquor. The police on a confidential information apprehended the person, who was driving Pick-Up Van, bearing registration no. BR06GD 4016 loaded with liquor. On search, total 431.5 litres of Indian made foreign liquor was recovered leading to institution of the present F.I.R.

3. On 16.05.2022, considering the nature of allegation, the petitioner was allowed provisional bail and the State was also directed to file affidavit on behalf of the Collector, Samastipur giving details as to whether confiscation proceeding has been initiated after the date of seizure in

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.41884 of 2021(16) dt.10-04-2024 2/2 connection with N.H. Bangara P.S. Case No. 61 of 2021.

4. An affidavit has been filed in this effect, which is on record. Now keeping this matter pending would serve no further purpose.

5. After perusal of the affidavit of the State officials, provisional bail granted to the petitioner vide order dated 16.05.2022 is hereby confirmed.
