The petitioners apprehend their arrest in Arwal P.S. Case No.154 of 2018 registered under Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

The informant alleged that the marriage of his daughter was settled with petitioner No.1 and date of Tilak and marriage was fixed on 20.04.2018 and 27.04.2018 but on 14.04.2018, the would be bridegroom demanded an alto car and petitioner No.2, the father of bridegroom demanded Rs.4 lacs and due to non-fulfillment of demand, the settled marriage was broken.

The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that no

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.31050 of 2019(2) dt.10-05-2019 2/2 article was demanded in dowry. The bridegroom did not agree to marry with the daughter of the informant after seeing her, therefore, the negotiation was broken. The petitioners have already returned the entire amount.

Taking into consideration the facts aforesaid and nature of allegation made against the petitioners, let the petitioners, above named, in the event of their arrest or surrender before the court below within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the order, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Arwal in connection with Arwal P.S. Case No.154 of 2018, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
