JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR ORAL ORDER 06-01-2021 Heard Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned APP for the State. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Aurangabad N.D.P.S. Case No. 02 of 2020 which has been instituted for the offences under Sections 20(b) (a) and (c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

In view of the recovery of 27.075 Kgs. of Ganja from the vehicle of which the petitioner is the driver, I am not inclined to grant bail to him for the present. The prayer for grant of regular bail of the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.31395 of 2020(3) dt.06-01-2021 2/2 petitioner is, accordingly, rejected.

However, taking into account that the petitioner is in custody since 24.02.2020, it is directed that the trial be expedited and if there is no substantial progress in the trial in the next six months, the petitioner would be at liberty to approach this Court again for grant of bail.
