Mr. Ranjeet Kumar Pandey, learned counsel for the Patna Municipal Corporation submits that husband of the petitioner did not render qualifying service of ten years and died in harness after rendering 7 years and 19 days of service on the post of Safai Mazdoor, as such, the petitioner who is widow of the deceased employee is not entitled for family pension. He further submits that bonus is not applicable in the Patna Municipal Corporation and the group insurance facilities started in the Corporation w.e.f. November, 2000 and husband of the petitioner died on 26.07.1999, as such, the petitioner is also not entitled for group insurance.
Patna High Court CWJC No.10839 of 2017(8) dt.22-02-2023 2/2 He, however, submits that a sum of Rs. 44,458/- is payable to the petitioner towards arrears of dearness allowance and salary which shall be paid to the petitioner if the petitioner provides her account number alongwith IFSC code. The aforesaid sum shall directly be transferred in the account of the petitioner.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has provided the photocopy of the passbook having account number as well as IFSC code of the petitioner's bank during the course of argument to the learned counsel for the Patna Municipal Corporation.
Accordingly, this writ application is disposed with a direction to the Patna Municipal Corporation to transfer the aforesaid sum of Rs. 44,458/- in the account of the petitioner by 2nd of March, 2023, positively.
With above observation and direction, this writ application is diposed.
