Mr.Renuka Ratnakar ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL ORDER 17-08-2019 Heard learned counsel for the parties.
This is an application for grant of anticipatory bail in Sheohar P.S. Case No. 201 of 2017, disclosing offence under Sections 384,386,504,506/34 of the Indian Penal Code. Allegedly, the petitioner is said to have indulged in demanding ransom from the informant. Case diary has been called for from which it appears that the petitioner has been found to be a member of a gang operating for demand of ransom.
Learned Additional Public Prosecutor has drawn my attention to various paragraphs of the case diary, in this regard. In view of the above, despite statement made on behalf of the petitioner that there is no criminal antecedent, I am
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.34610 of 2019(3) dt.17-08-2019 2/2 not inclined to grant him the privilege of anticipatory bail. This application is rejected.
However, the petitioner is directed to surrender before the Court below within four weeks from today and seek regular bail, if so advised. If he does so, his application for regular bail shall be considered on its own merit without being prejudiced by rejection of the present application for grant of anticipatory bail by this Court.
