This is an application seeking quashing of the First Information Report of Daudpur P.S. Case No. 53 of 2015, dated 07.04.2015, which has been registered under Sections 420, 406 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.49454 of 2015(4) dt.04-11-2020 2/2 Though several grounds have been raised on behalf of the petitioner including that of jurisdiction, but considering the fact that the case is of the year 2015 and the investigation ought to have been completed by now, no further order is being passed. If the same has not been completed, it ought to be completed within a period of three months from today.
If the petitioner is aggrieved by the report of the police, he can avail of the remedies to which he is entitled under the law. In that event, the petitioner would also be entitled to raise the issue of jurisdiction.
With the aforesaid observation/direction, the application stands disposed off.
