The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Gurua P.S. Case No. 124 of 2020 dated 08.06.2020 instituted for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 149, 353 and 307 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 30(a)/61 of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016. The petitioner is alleged to have been found in possession of 8 litres of Mahua liquor. When she was being arrested, many persons of the village tried to scuffle with the police and resorted to brickbats leading to injuries on the police party.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though the police personnel are claiming to have been

The petitioner is in custody since 08.06.2020. In the other case which was lodged against the petitioner in the past, she has been granted bail.

Regard being had to the nature of accusation, quantum of recovery of the locally brewed liquor, period of custody and the gender of the petitioner, she is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned I/C Special Judge, Excise, Gaya in connection with Gurua P.S.
