In this case, the petitioners have prayed for the following relief:- "a. For issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing and commanding upon the respondent authorities to conduct fair, independent and impartial investigation with reference to written complaint by the petitioners vide letter dated

Patna High Court CR. WJC No.1003 of 2025(2) dt.17-06-2025 2/2 12.03.2025 and 03.02.2025 therein and thereunder petitioners raised concerns over rampant corruption in Miraganj Nagar Parishad. b. Alternatively, for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing and commanding upon the competent authority/agency to conduct fair, independent and impartial investigation with reference to written complaint by the petitioners wherein petitioners raised concerns over rampant corruption in Mirganj Nagar Parishad."

This writ application is disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to file a representation before the Superintendent of Police, Gopalganj for the reliefs prayed for in this writ petition. If the Superintendent of Police finds merits in the allegations of the petitioners then he may proceed in accordance with law.

It is clarified that this Court has not gone into the merits of the case.
