2. With the consent of the parties, this writ application is being disposed of at this stage itself.

In the present writ application, the petitioner has prayed for issuance of an appropriate writ of mandamus for directing the authorities to pay the arrears of difference of salary as per re-designated post as a demonstrator from the date of joining i.e., 02.07.1981 with compound interest at the rate of 18% per annum for delay in payment.

After advancing some argument, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for seeking the aforesaid relief, the petitioner has already filed a representation before the Registrar, Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, which has been received on 23.04.2026. The said representation has been brought on record by way Annexure-P/9. It is further submitted that this representation continues to be pending and he, therefore, prays for an appropriate direction to be issued to the Registrar, Magadh University, Bodh Gaya to dispose of his representation within a fixed time-frame, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

5. To the aforesaid submission being made by learned counsel for the petitioner, learned counsels appearing for the respondent-parties do not have any objection.

6. Considering the limited nature of prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ application is

Patna High Court CWJC No.8382 of 2026(2) dt.07-07-2026 3/3 disposed of, directing the Registrar, Magadh University, Bodh Gaya (respondent no. 6) to dispose of the pending representation of the petitioner which has been received at this end on 23.04.2026, within six months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

7. Needless to emphasize that the final order, which shall be passed by the Registrar, Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, should be a reasoned and speaking order. It is further made clear that if the petitioner is found entitled to the relief, which the petitioner has claimed through the representation, the same should be extended to the petitioner within a further period of three months from the date of passing of the final order by the Registrar of Magadh University, Bodh Gaya.

8. With the aforesaid observation/direction and liberty granted, this writ application is disposed of. All pending interlocutory application(s), if any, shall also be deemed to have been disposed of.
