the opposite party No. 2. The State is represented by Mr. Ram Priya Sharan Singh, learned APP.

This is an application for quashing of the First Information Report of Gopalganj Town P.S. Case No. 51 of 2014, dated 01.02.2014, which has been registered for the offences under Sections 406, 420, 418, 409 and 120(B) of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner is not in a position to categorically inform this Court whether the investigation has still remained pending or has been concluded. In any view of the matter, an investigation of a case should not be allowed to remain pending for so many years. In the event of the investigation not having been concluded, this Court directs that the same may be concluded within a period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

The order shall be implemented only if the investigation has remained pending till date.

If a report has been submitted and the matter has travelled to the Court of law, the petitioner would have the liberty to take recourse of the judicial remedies. With the aforesaid observation, the petition stands disposed off.
