1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned AC to AAG-4 for the State.

2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the instant writ application has been filed for a direction upon the District Magistrate, Gaya to adjudicate, decide and grant firearm licence of NP Bore Pistol to the petitioner considering his requirement and need. It is further submitted that the issue is pending before the District Magistrate-cum-Collector, Gaya since 24.06.2024 as would manifest from Annexure-P/1 to the writ application.

3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that the writ application can be disposed of with a

Patna High Court CWJC No.7908 of 2025(2) dt.23-06-2025 2/2 direction to the District Magistrate-cum-Collector, Gaya to dispose of the application of the petitioner seeking arms licence in accordance with law within a time frame.

4. After hearing the learned counsel for the parties and without going into the merits of the case, the writ application is disposed of with a direction to the District Magistrate-cum-Collector, Gaya to consider and dispose of the application of the petitioner seeking arms licence within a period of four months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
