The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "(i) To issue a writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ/ writs, order/ orders, directing the respondents to pay the death compensation of his uncle who has been died due fell down in the well in this regard a F.I.R. was lodged vide Sakurabad P.S. U.D. Case No. 03 of 2012 dated 19.09.2012.

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law. Liberty, so sought, is granted.
