The petitioner seeks bail in Bhargama P.S. Case No.101 of 2015, registered under Section 392 of the Indian Penal Code.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is not named in the FIR. Name of the petitioner surfaced in the case in the confessional statement of co-accused, petitioner was remanded in this case on 08.04.2016 and since then he is in custody.
Considering the fact that the petitioner is in jail for more than 4 years and 6 months, petitioner, namely, Munna Das @ Ravishankar is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.31496 of 2020(3) dt.07-12-2020 2/2 his personal bonds to the satisfaction of the learned S.D.J.M., Araria in connection with Bhargama P.S. Case No.101 of 2015. The learned S.D.J.M., Araria is directed to report as to under what circumstances, the petitioner has remained in jail for more than 4 years and 6 months and he did not dispose of the case.
