The petitioner has renewed the prayer for grant of bail in connection with Sultanganj P.S. Case No.90 of 2019 corresponding to Sessions Trial No.470 of 2019 registered under Sections 376 read with 34 and 379 of the Indian Penal Code. His prayer for bail was rejected by this Court vide order dated 04.12.2019.

The only ground for the renewal of bail of the petitioner is that he is in custody since 13.04.2019 and there is no likelihood of the trial coming to an end in near future. Learned counsel for the State has opposed the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner. He submitted that the case of the prosecutrix is specific against the petitioner and one another, namely, Shambhu Mandal that they ravished her and snatched

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.32580 of 2020(3) dt.25-08-2021 2/2 Rs.7300/- from her house.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the allegation made against the petitioner, I see no reason to take a different view of the matter and the prayer for bail is rejected once again.
