3. The petitioner is aggrieved by the respondents not taking any final decision over an application made by him for grant of license on compassionate ground as his grandfather, who was a licensee under the Public Distribution System, had died during the currency of the license.

4. Under the aforesaid circumstance, we direct the authority concerned to take a final decision in the matter in accordance with law within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

5. With the aforesaid observation/direction, the writ petition stands disposed off.
