Patna High Court L.P.A No.296 of 2022 dt.30-09-2024 2/3 concerned with the proceedings initiated as per AnnexureP/1 in the writ petition. Annexure-P/1 was initiated on 25.01.2019 allegedly against Officials of the Nagar Panchayat, as also the elected representatives.
2. A writ petition was filed in which Annexure-P/4 was issued. Annexure-P/4 only issues notice to the parties and a direction to file separate affidavits. Eventually, CWJC No. 15813 of 2019 was disposed of noticing that the proceedings have culminated in an order of punishment on 18.10.2019.
3. It is submitted by the learned Counsel for the party respondent that no proceedings were taken against the 1st respondent herein and the punishment was also against the officers and not against the public representatives.
4. The learned Counsel for the respondents also submits that as of now the term of the 1st respondent is over and there are no proceedings pending against her.
5. In such circumstances, we close the appeal without any observations on the merits of the order passed on 18.10.2019, which if challenged by the persons who are punished by that order, would be considered independent of
Patna High Court L.P.A No.296 of 2022 dt.30-09-2024 3/3 the closure of the appeal.
6. The appeal stands closed.
