KUMAR ORAL ORDER (Per: HONOURABLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE) 17-02-2020 Petitioner has prayed for the following releifs:- "a. For directing to the Director General, Vigilance to enquire to the matter after lodging the FIR about misappropriation of Govt. money amounting more than 80 lacks in installation of hand pipe in Gram Panchayat, Pajiarwa by the concerned Mukhiya, Gram Panchayat Sewak, Junior Engineer, Panchayat Secretary.

Also for direction to respondents to recover the loss of the Govt. money in installation of hand pipes in Gram Panchayat, Panjiarwa under the 4th Finance Commission and 13th finance commission in order to compensate loss of public money.

c. Also for direction to respondents to enquire into the matter of role of the authority concerned who has failed to take action against the persons involved in misappropriation of the Govt. money despite the representation made by the petitioner.

d. Also for necessary relief, order, direction for which the petitioner is entitled in the eyes of law."

Having heard learned counsel for the parties, we are of the considered view that the present petition filed in the year 2017 has outlived its purpose inasmuch as pursuant to the direction issued by the court, the matter was got enquired into and appropriate action has been taken, which is apparent from affidavit dated 22nd September, 2018, annexed as Annexure A, filed on behalf of the respondents.

At this stage, Mr. Dinu Kumar states that petitioner may be permitted to approach the authorities concerned challenging the adequacy of the inquiry report or he may agitate the issue with regard to inaction on a particular specified
