An order was passed against the petitioner by the Divisional Forest Officer-cum-Licensing Authority way back on 15.11.2015. He has filed an appeal against the said order before the Conservator of Forest, Ashiana More, Sheikhpura, Patna. According to him, the appeal is pending till date and no order has been passed.

A query has been put to learned counsel for the State

Patna High Court CWJC No.9192 of 2022(2) dt.26-08-2022 2/2 for inordinate delay in disposal of appeal. However, no clear answer is forthcoming.

Under the circumstances, we dispose off the writ petition with a direction to the appellate authority to decide the appeal within a fixed time frame, in any case, not later than one month.
