JUSTICE PRABHAT KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 30-11-2021 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. Petitioner seeks regular bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under Section 7(A) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

As per the prosecution case, this petitioner, who was Junior Engineer, MANREGA Anchal, Pandaul, was caught while taking bribe of Rs. 55,000/- for approval of bill of MANREGA work for payment.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in the case. It is submitted that as a matter of fact the complainant Mukhiya was allotted some work of MANREGA and he was pressurizing this petitioner to pass some illegal bills without

No.44043 of 2021(4) dt.30-11-2021 2/2 executing the work but petitioner was insisting for physical and proper verification as a result of which the complainant filed the complaint. Petitioner is in custody since 03.03.2021 and investigation in this case is complete and he has cooperated in the investigation.

Learned counsel appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

Considering the facts of the case and the period of custody of the petitioner, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Special Judge, Vigilance, Muzaffarpur in connection with Vigilance (Patna) PS case No.10/2021/ Special Case No. 08/2021.
