Allegation against the petitioner is of assault by Basuli on the deceased and earlier the prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected by this Court, vide order dated 20.9.2018 passed in Cr. Misc. No.47547 of 2018 . Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that he is in custody for about 1 1⁄2 years and the case is pending for evidence.

Heard learned A.P.P. also.

Having heard both sides and in view of the facts and circumstances, as stated above, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, however, the learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial .
