2. The petitioner has renewed his prayer for grant of regular bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 8/20(b), (ii), (C ), 25 and 29 of the NDPS Act, which was earlier rejected vide order dated 15.5.2023 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 7900 of 2023 with a direction to trial court to expedite and conclude the trial.

4. In compliance of order dated 17.5.2024, a progress report dated 6.6.2024 sent by Addl. Distt. & Sessions Judge-I, Saran and Chhapra has been received which suggests that trial is likely to be concluded in six months.

5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.37104 of 2024(3) dt.02-07-2024 2/2 there is no hope to conclude the trial in near future. He further submits that petitioner is languishing in judicial custody since 13.07.2022.

6. There is no new ground to reconsider the bail prayer of the petitioner. Hence, this application stands disposed off.

7. The learned trial court is directed to conclude the trial within a period of six months positively, failing which, the petitioner will be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail. (Sunil Kumar Panwar, J) sushma/- U
