The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in connection with Meenapur P.S. Case No. 192 of 2020, dated 02.06.2020, instituted for the offences under Sections 341, 447, 448, 323, 324, 307, 504 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner is alleged to have assaulted the informant on his head by means of a spade while he was drunk. The injuries suffered by the informant is stated to be

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that there is a counter version of the occurrence which is prior in point of time and, therefore, he has falsely been implicated in this case.

However, regard being had to the nature of injury caused to the informant, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

The prayer for grant of anticipatory bail of the petitioner is, accordingly, rejected.

However, if the petitioner surrenders before the Court below and seeks bail, the Court below shall consider the case on its own merits, without being prejudiced by the fact that the present anticipatory bail application has not been entertained by this Court.
