2.The claim of the petitioner is that he was appointed as "Jansevak" (Choukidar) at Panapur Gram Panchayat, P.S. Mohania on ad hoc basis. He claims regularization of his service.

3. It is the stand of the State based on averments made in the counter affidavit that petitioner's selection could not have been made with prior permission of the State Government, and only against a sanctioned post. There

Patna High Court CWJC No.9372 of 2015(3) dt.23-10-2019 2/2 being no such process adopted, coupled with the fact that there was no sanctioned post for such appointment, the petitioner's claim for appointment is not acceptable.

4. Since none appears on behalf of petitioner, without going into the merits of the submission of the State Counsel, the writ petition is dismissed for want of prosecution.
