JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 21-08-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "1(i). For quashing of the order dated 15.06.2013, i.e. Annexure-1, whereby the D.M., Bhagalpur, has rejected the prayer of the petitioner for grant of compensation / Ex-gratia on account of injury, sustained by the petitioner in 1989, Bhagalpur Riot, on a mere ground that the Medical Board could not assess the nature of bullet injury, sustained by the petitioner, according to its primitive stage.

Patna High Court CWJC No.11395 of 2015(4) dt.21-08-2024 2/2 (ii) For issuance of an appropriate writ/order/direction for commanding the respondent authorities to pay full ex- gratia compensation with reasonable interest to the petitioner.

(iii). For compensating the irreparable loss of the petitioner by way of levying heavy costs upon the respondents for not giving the genuine ex-gratia compensatory amount in time, despite passage of more than 22-years, inasmuch as in the meanwhile, the petitioner sustained a lot of physical & mental harassment."

The learned counsel for the petitioner seeks to withdraw the present writ petition, to which the learned counsel appearing for the State has got no objection.

Accordingly, the present writ petition stands dismissed as not pressed.
