JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 25-07-2024 The present writ petition has been filed for directing the District Magistrate, Lakhisarai, to dispose of the application, filed by the petitioner, for grant of arms license, under the Heirloom Policy, as prescribed under the Arms Act, 2016, which was filed on 3.7.2020.

Per contra, the learned counsel for the Respondent-State submits that in case, the petitioner has filed the aforesaid application and the same is still pending, it shall be disposed off, within a fixed time frame.

Having regard to the limited prayer made by the petitioner in the present case, I deem it fit and proper to direct

Patna High Court CWJC No.9173 of 2024(2) dt.25-07-2024 2/2 the District Magistrate, Lakhisarai, to dispose of the aforesaid application, filed by the petitioner on 3.7.2020, in case the same has actually been filed and is still pending consideration, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt / production of a copy of this order.

Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
