The petitioner seeks bail in Supaul P.S. Case No. 156 of 2014, registered for the offences punishable under Section 304B and other Sections of the Indian Penal Code.
The informant uncle of the deceased alleged that his niece was married with the petitioner and her husband and other in-laws were demanding motorcycle. The allegation is that the deceased was strangulated to death within one year of marriage. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that of course the petitioner is the husband, but there is no allegation of assault against the petitioner.
On the other hand, learned counsel for the informant has submitted that the deceased was killed by pressing her mouth

Considering the fact that the petitioner is the husband of the deceased who was killed within one year of her marriage, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the same is rejected.
The trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same within one year from the date of receipt/production of a copy of the order. If the trial is not concluded, the petitioner may renew his prayer for bail firstly before the court below.
