The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Rajgir P.S. Case No. 31 of 2019 registered under Sections 272, 273, 420, 120-B of the Indian Penal Code and Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 1918.

Considering the alleged recovery of more than 2000 litres of foreign liquor from the bathroom of the house of the petitioner and also from his car, I am not inclined to grant him bail even though he is in custody since 22.04.2019. The prayer for bail is rejected.

The trial court is directed to hold the trial on day to day basis and conclude the same within seven months from the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.33666 of 2019(2) dt.22-05-2019 2/2 date of submission of the charge-sheet, failing which the petitioner would be entitled to renew his prayer for bail before the court below itself.
