The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Special Case No. 74 of 2020 arising out of Shahjahanpur P.S. Case No. 36 of 2020 registered under Sections 363 and 376 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 4 and 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

Considering the allegation made in the FIR that the petitioner, a 51 years old Ex-Mukhiya, sexually exploited a 16 years old girl for over six months and the said allegation has been supported by the alleged victim in her statement made under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, I am not

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.31868 of 2020(3) dt.19-01-2021 2/2 inclined to grant him bail for the present even though he is in custody since 13.04.2020. The prayer for bail is rejected. The trial court dealing with Special Case No. 74 of 2020 arising out of Shahjahanpur P.S. Case No. 36 of 2020 is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same as early as possible and preferably within six months from the date of framing of charge.
