Petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Govindganj P.S. Case No.540/2022, registered for the offence punishable u/s 341, 323, 324, 307, 498(A), 120B, 34 of the IPC and 3/4 of D.P. Act.

As per the prosecution case, the petitioner being the husband of the informant, in connivance with his family members tried to kill the informant by pouring kerosene oil and setting fire to her over the demand of dowry. 4.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner is quite innocent and has committed no offence. He

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.35155 of 2023(3) dt.27-07-2023 2/2 has been falsely implicated in this case. No such occurrence, in the manner as alleged, has ever taken place. Petitioner is the husband of the informant and never demanded any dowry or tortured her. Petitioner has no criminal antecedent. 5.

Learned APP for the State opposed the prayer for bail by submitting that the injury of the informant is grievous in nature. 6.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the nature of injury, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. The prayer for grant of anticipatory bail on his behalf is hereby rejected.

This application is accordingly dismissed.
