Mr. Ashutosh Ranjan Pandey, AAG-15 ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE NANI TAGIA ORAL ORDER 29-07-2025 Heard learned counsel for the parties.
2. This contempt petition has been filed alleging violation of the order dated 22.01.2001 passed in C.W.J.C. No. 9154 of 1999, whereby, the State Government was directed to reconsider the affiliation matter of the petitioners' Sanskrit College.
3. Learned State counsel representing opposite party nos. 1 & 2 has submitted that the show cause has been filed on
Patna High Court MJC No.3588 of 2017(12) dt.29-07-2025 2/3 19.10.2022. The show cause stated to have been filed by O.P. Nos. 1 & 2, however, is not on record. Learned advocate for the petitioners, however, admits that he has received a copy of the show cause filed by O.P. Nos. 1 & 2.
4. From the show cause filed by the O.P. Nos. 1 & 2, learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that pursuant to a direction given in the writ petition, mentioned above, the State Government had given affiliation to the petitioners' Sanskrit College on 17.02.2017, which however was again cancelled on 17.07.2019.
5. From the above submissions made, I find that since the direction in the writ petition to the O.P. Nos. 1 & 2 was to reconsider the affiliation of the petitioners' Sanskrit College, which was duly complied with by the O.P. Nos. 1 & 2 by granting affiliation to the petitioners' Sanskrit College on 17.02.2017, which however was cancelled later on 17.07.2019. The cancellation of the affiliation given to the petitioners' Sanskrit College on 17.07.2019 is entirely a different cause of action for the petitioners to agitate before the appropriate forum, if so advised.
6. The moment O.P. Nos. 1 & 2 had passed the order dated 17.02.2017, granting affiliation to the petitioners' Sanskrit
Patna High Court MJC No.3588 of 2017(12) dt.29-07-2025 3/3 College, I find that the order dated 22.01.2001 passed in C.W.J.C. Nos. 9154 of 1999 has been duly complied with by the O.P. Nos. 1 & 2.
7. The contempt petition, accordingly, stands closed and disposed off.
8. Learned advocate representing O.P. Nos. 1 & 2 is directed to file a hard copy of the show cause, stated to have filed by the O.P. Nos. 1 & 2, on 19.10.2022 before the Registry, which shall be kept on record.
