The petitioner retired from the post of Ayurvedic Medical Officer, Additional Primary Health Centre, Nihalpur, Itarhi in the district of Buxar with effect from 31.01.2020. He has filed the present writ application seeking direction to the respondents to pay his post retiral dues. A counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the respondent State of Bihar. I have heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr. Pankaj Kumar, learned S.C.-12 for the

Patna High Court CWJC No.8631 of 2020(2) dt.06-04-2021 2/2 respondent State.

It transpires from the pleadings on record and the submissions made on behalf of the parties that the State of Bihar has sanctioned payment of pension and gratuity and sent the papers to the office of the Accountant General for issuance of authority slip for payment against the said heads. Payments against other post retiral heads have been paid to the petitioner. Considering the facts and circumstances, this application is disposed of with a direction to the Accountant General, Bihar, to ensure that authority slip for payment of pension and gratuity is issued within one month from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, if not already issued. It goes without saying that the respondent State of Bihar shall ensure that the petitioner receives the amount of gratuity and the arrears of pension and starts getting current pension soon after issuance of authority slip by the Accountant General. This writ application is disposed of with the aforesaid observations and directions.
